Our team at StingMate Jellyfish first aid gel has been working very hard to find the right combination i.e. protocol to deliver the most effective sting relief, specifically for the Man of War sting. StingMate is proven 100% effective on all other marine stings and is proving equally effective on the Man of War sting using the right sequence. We found, based on scientific research in triple blind study, that submersion in water or applying heat at 113 degrees for 20 minutes after application of StingMate is working very well. Ice was also tested and was found ineffective. Here is a report we received yesterday from Miami Beach...

4-26-09 @ 11:30am on Miami Beach, Florida, we had rough ocean surf and a jelly fish alert/warning flag on all lifeguard towers. Being a Distributor and Selling StingMate at my JetSki Rental Beach Concessions, we had a mother of a 4 year old girl come to us telling us that her daughter apparently stepped on a Portuguese Man-O-War that washed up on the sand. The Man-O-War stung the little girl on the bottom of her right foot fairly well as she was screaming and crying badly. We instructed her mom on how to apply the first aid gel to her daughter’s foot. After the 2 applications as suggested I told the Dad to take his daughter to the Jacuzzi at their hotel which has fairly hot water. After spending 15 - 20 minutes in the Jacuzzi after the 2 applications of StingMate a few hours later Dad returned to thank me and tell me his little girl was doing great and feeling no more sting and playing on the beach again with her sister. Once again StingMate worked on the Man-0-War!

Most importantly, StingMate is Lidocaine free which, according to the latest FDA findings, can cause serious medical side effects including anaphylactic shock..StingMate is being used by Beach Rescue, Lifeguards and EMT's at several beach locations in Fla.as well as worldwide. The man of war is a nasty organism for sure so the best medicine is to avoid any contact. Thanks for your article and have a great beach day.

Yes. I registered several numbers in 2003, but one of them dropped off the list in 2005. I re-registered it at that time, and I haven't had any registration problems since.

Keep in mind that only commercial for-profit callers are required to comply. Politicians, of course, exempted themselves from the rules. My policy on that: If a politician calls me, I vote for his opponent. I'm cellphone-only, so each of those calls potentially costs me money. If a politician isn't concerned about wasting my money BEFORE the election, I assume he won't be any more careful with it after he's elected.

Sandy,
Great post. Too many times I've seen units sit vacant for full rent cycles, only becuase the owner is too stubborn to cut his/her loss. Your examples really put the situation in perspective.

Thanks,
Michael Pickett

Brian, Thanks for the good information!

So, far we've been fortunate. We have a company here locally that comes out and does the inspections. So, to date we haven't had to wait any longer than 2 weeks for the inspector to get out. We just had one completed last week. However, I know that the program is now swamped with requests since hurricane season started June 1. The inspections are being assigned to different inspectors throughout the state and some are taking extended periods of time to get out to homes.

you may want to know that you can have the inspection performed by a qualified professional inspector for a fee usually $150.00 Those multi-family homes like townhouses, condos and some commercial buildings can benefit from having the inspection. In addition by waiting for up to 6-months for the free inspection it may end up costing you more than the fee to have it done now by a professional inspector. The inspection is good for five years! in your case thats $2,500.00 total!
Hows that for a stimulus check?
